What’s your favorite “cozy” book — and, by that, I’m meaning “curl-up-on-a-cold-day comfort read“? Or, if you don’t have a particular book, what genre do you most feel like reading when the weather starts to turn colder?
This past year I’ve realized that romance novels have the potential to be seriously cozy reads. A few of the ones I’ve read have certainly made that list. The McCord cousins books being two of them. Well at least the first two, Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny made the list. I’ve got number three pre-ordered for its November release. But seriously, when it comes down to it, whats better to read on one of those curl-up-under-the-blankets-with-a-book-and-cup-of-tea-or-hot-chocolate-days than a romance novel that warms the cockles of our hearts?
As far as other books I’d be found reading on a ‘Cozy Day’… anything off of my favorites shelf. They made it there for a reason you know? Favorites are always a great comfort read because you can go back to a place where you were reading something that just got you.
And I’ll admit it, on my days off when I’ve got nothing to do but read a book, sometimes I’ll bust out a good true crime, criminal behavior, or one of my lovely serial killer books. Nothing like reading about the psychology behind murder to comfort you. But then again I’m just the crazy kid who’s going to school to learn how to help rehabilitate criminals and veterans. Yep, that’s me! So I really do enjoy sitting down with those books that give me insight into the minds I’ll be seeing on a regular basis down the road.
There’s a multitude of things that could be considered cozy reads, but these are my first choices.
How about you? Do you have a particular book, series, or genre that you like to enjoy with your hot chocolate?
I love true crime! Have you read Helter Skelter yet? If not, you should. It’s pretty much the ultimate true crime book.

I have read Helter Skelter. I definitely enjoyed it. I actually just picked up another of Bugliosi’s books recently – Until Death Us Do Part. It looks pretty interesting.
