Musing Mondays: Favorite Places

Todays Musing Monday asks:

Where is your favorite place to read?

I can read pretty much anywhere, it’s just how I am. The best place to read… outside when the weather is nice. If I’m on vacation, that means I’m up in the hills and mountains of Vermont where the weather is cool and the breeze blows… and it’s quiet, and I can literally lay for hours in the grass and read. The rest of the time when I’m home, I’ll go to the park and read. Whether I’m sitting on a dock overlooking the water or in the middle of a grassy field, if I’m outside I’m happy to be reading there.

Unfortunately, I can’t read outside all year round. The winters in CT get a little cold even for me to curl up outside with a book. During the winter time I can be found curled up in bed, on the couch, or in a quite corner of the bookstore or coffee shop reading.

And those are my favorite places to read… depending on the weather. Where do you read?

I have the same problem in KY. Our winters are not very kind and now the heat has started to bake us. I try on weekends to get out early in the morning to read on the porch in my swing. My dream would be to have an enclosed climate controlled glass addition to my home so I could “think” I was out in the nice weather.

    Thanks for stopping by.

I’ll read anywhere where I won’t be disturbed for more than 10 minutes… Though I have taught myself to read in a fairly noisy office environment.

I’ve never actually read outside on the grass – I don’t know, I just get itchy and I worry about ants and stuff – weird I know 🙂 Best I can do is sit on a bench at Central Park or something like that

Here’s my Musing Mondays (June 6) post!
