So, can someone please tell me where July went? For that matter, where is 2013 going? I feel like the year is flying by.
Anywho, on a bookish note, my reading wasn’t all that impressive for July. I had planned to read about a dozen books for the month and ended up reading only half that. So.. yeah. I had gorged myself on a few Pride and Prejudice variations in June and for some reason, after finishing one in the beginning of July I found myself not really reading for a while. Then, out of nowhere I had a burning desire to finally get caught up with a series that I had started back in 2011, so I bought the first ten books in the series and have been reading those non-stop since.
That being said, my reads for July are:
1. Memory, Volume 2 by Linda Wells
2. Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed #1) by Lara Adrian
3. Kiss of Crimson (Midnight Breed #2) by Lara Adrian
4. Midnight Awakening (Midnight Breed #3) by Lara Adrian
5. Midnight Rising (Midnight Breed #4) by Lara Adrian
6. Veil of Midnight (Midnight Breed #5) by Lara Adrian
Those first five books of the Midnight Breed series were all re-reads for me, but well… vampires. What can I say? I’ve been reading the rest of the books non-stop since. I’m actually about to start the tenth book in the series and have ordered the eleventh so I can be instantly caught up when I finish. Then I just have to wait until NEXT YEAR for the newest release. I hate waiting, but again… vampires. Gotta love ’em.
My reading plans for August are pretty straightforward. I’ve read 5 books so far this month, and the other definite reads are the last two books of the series I mentioned above. I’d also like to finish reading A Game of Thrones. I’ve barely scratched the surface since starting it in July, but what I’ve read thus far I have loved. Cannot wait to see what happens there.
I have a few other books I started back in June, but put down for some reason so I’m planning to finish those as well. Bloodlines among them which, considering my love for the Vampire Academy series I can’t believe I haven’t finished yet. I also have a HUGE pile of new books to dig into since, even though I haven’t really been reading a whole lot, my ability to spend tons of money on books hasn’t decreased on iota. So many books, so little time.
Until next time, Happy Reading!!!
I’ve just finished the 2nd book in a batch of 10 vampire novels so I’m guessing that you have a few treats in store over at my place in the coming few months!
Yay! I’ll keep an eye out. Love me some vampire books. =]
