July 2022: Month in Review

I do not know where the month of July went. Honestly, who said it could pass by this quickly? Yet, time keeps on whether I’m okay with its pace or not, and here we are looking back at another month. Work is still busy, but I’ve been giving into Audible to get some extra reading time in where I can. We gotta do what we gotta do.

This month I read:

Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima (Started in June) 5/5 Stars
Shadowcaster by Cinda Williams Chima 5/5 Stars
Stormcaster by Cinda Williams Chima 5/5 Stars
Deathcaster by Cinda Williams Chima 5/5 Stars
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson 5/5 Stars
The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan 4/5 Stars

I’m counting July as a win reading wise. I read six books and 3789 pages. Not to mention, I really loved everything I read this month. I’m hoping to keep the momentum into early August since the end of the month is going to be hectic with family coming in to visit and then some traveling of my own.

This month I hauled:

I think all I picked up this month were the last three books in Chima’s Shattered Realms series, Shadowcaster, Stormcaster, and Deathcaster.

Non-bookishness:

I’ve listened to some more of my podcast backlogs, but that’s about it. Discovery + did release a new season of The Repair Shop, so I’ve been watching some of those when I can. Other than that I have nothing notable.

All in all, July was a quiet month for me here, but on the upside I got some great reading in which is exciting.

How was your July, anything notable that stands out?

Until next time, Happy Reading!

Chillin’ with Fantasy, I see! Actually I’ve just finished ‘The Gospel of Loki’ today. Review in 2 weeks. Funny how the narrator’s voice sounded *exactly* like Tom Hiddleston…… [grin]

Most notable thing(s) about July are the fact that we hit 40+ degrees C for the first time in recorded history and that this July was the driest since 1935. So, just a normal month in a crazy world…. [lol]

I’m all about the fantasy right now. I can’t seem to get enough!
I think it’s going to be a long time before anyone associates anyone other than Tom Hiddleston with Loki, lol.

Wow! I cannot imagine feeling temps like that in the UK. But no worries… climate change is a myth – nothing to see here!
