While I don’t usually do posts of books that I’m looking forward to, there are a few December releases that I am really anticipating. So, I’ve chosen to share them.
1. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
I really, really, really cannot wait for this book. When I finished book five of the Vampire Academy series it left me with a pit in my stomach and as the release date gets closer and closer for the last book in the series the anticipation builds. I actually pre-ordered my copy of Last Sacrifice in July when I finished the first five novels. I CANNOT wait!

I found this one when I was browsing upcoming releases and it seems to have promise. Decoded is part media part memoir and I’m really looking forward to seeing what goodies the book holds.
——
3. Spare the Child by Philip J. Greven
Spare the Child takes a look at how religion has given parents a justification to physically punish their child and then delves deeper into the consequences of this punishment. It is no secret that man will use religion to justify even the harshest of actions, but what about the effects such behavior has on the victim. Spare the Child explores the roots of corporal punishment, perceptions of such behavior while also investigating the effect on all involved.

4. From Chivalry to Terrorism by Leo Braudy
From Chivalry to Terrorism looks like it will be a very interesting read. Braudy examines the relationship between manhood and war through historical, societal, literary, and warfare factors. I have to say, I’m really looking forward to this one.
